About Ty Simpson

Ty is a proud native of Martin, Tennessee and quarterback for the Alabama Crimson Tide. A talented multi-sport athlete as a child, Ty began to focus on football in middle school and eventually earned a five-star rating and #1 high school quarterback ranking in the USA from On3. He led Westview High School to the Tennessee State Football Championship in 2021 and was named the Tennessee Gatorade Player of the Year. He was selected to the US Army All-American Bowl game and competed at the prestigious Elite 11 Camp. Ty grew up around football; his dad, Jason, is the longtime head coach at UT-Martin and Ty spent countless hours watching from the sidelines, developing his passion for and knowledge of the game. Ty is guided by his deep faith, his love of family, and a commitment to serving others.
